This year will mark the 16th consecutive year that the 16U division of the American Amateur Baseball Congress will be held in McKinney.
There will be nine teams that have won the right to compete for the MMWS title in 2011. The host team will be the Frozen Ropes from McKinney.
The DBAT Mustangs - Sharp won the 2011 MMWS Qualifier held at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch earlier in the year. The other teams will have to win their state and regional tournaments to advance to the MMWS. Teams from all across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada compete for the right to play in the MMWS.
This will be a great opportunity to watch some of the best 16 year old players in the country play this great game. Check ourCalendar for event times. **NOTE - On Tuesday, 8/2 the series pass will be available for $25 at the players' dinner.Teams do not pay any entry fee to compete in the MMWS. With the help of our sponsors, McKinney Baseball Tournaments, Inc., pay for the hotel rooms for the players and coaches. MBTI and AABC also provide a travel budget for each team to help offset a significant portion of their travel expenses.
